If you’ve ever lost a headshot to joystick drift or juggled controllers between a sweaty Apex Legends match and a chill Monster Hunter hunt, you might want to hear about this. LeadJoy’s XENO Pro Smart Gaming Controller is up on Kickstarter, but forget how much it’s doing for a second. What’s really interesting is the kitchen sink of tech they’ve crammed into this thing.
Hardware That Doesn’t Quit
Let’s talk sticks. Joystick drift is the heartbreak that unites us all. LeadJoy’s answer? A 12-Bit TMR (Tunnel Magneto Resistance) adjustable joystick. Instead of the usual carbon film, these use magnetic fields, which means zero drift and a lifespan that could outlast your backlog: 5 million cycles, to be exact.
LeadJoy says that gamers can get 4,096 sampling levels for accuracy that would make a surgeon jealous. And you can tweak the stick tension anywhere from 40gf to 90gf. Prefer a feather-light stick for platformers? No problem. Want something with the resistance of a stubborn jar lid for sniping(we’re exaggerating here, but you get the drift)? Just twist and set.
The triggers are just as tweakable. The Xeno Por lets you swap between 0.45mm short-travel Microswitch Triggers for those rapid-fire moments, or Hall Linear Triggers if you’re more about throttle finesse in racing games. Add in force feedback in the triggers and instant-stop motors in the grips, and you’ve got a controller that vibrates when it really needs to vibrate. Nope. We’re not going there.
AI Calibration and Next-Level Software
The real wild card is the software. LeadJoy’s AI Curve Optimization tool can supposedly let you point your phone’s camera at your screen, and the app figures out your game’s dead zones and sensitivity. It then cooks up a custom response curve so your joystick feels the same, no matter what game you’re playing.
There’s also RC Filtering, a fancy aiming tech you usually only see on controllers that cost as much as a new console. It boosts your turning speed and aim precision. Combine that with the Main/Sub Mode, and you can map a button to instantly swap your whole controller profile. Picture this: you hold down a trigger to aim, and the controller automatically dials up the RC filtering to slow your crosshair and help with recoil. It’s like having a tiny coach living in your controller.
Wait, Body Tracking on a smart gaming controller?!
If four oversized back buttons and a six-axis gyroscope weren’t enough, LeadJoy is also rolling out the Magic Key. This add-on lets you map four actions to actual body movements. Yes, you can peek around corners in a shooter by moving your own head. Just don’t blame me if you accidentally hit your head with a lamp.
The Xeno Pro smart gaming controller works on the PC, PS4, Switch, mobile, and even Xbox if you’ve got the adapter. The 1000Hz polling rate in both wired and 2.4GHz wireless modes means your inputs are faster than your reaction to a surprise loot drop. The XENO Pro is definitely aiming high.
