The holidays are almost here. We think you should start scoping out new gadgets, like smartphones, as gifts for yourself and the people who matter to you. Check out these smartphone options from POCO and HUAWEI.
POCO Budget Smartphone with premium features
The POCO C95 Pro is aimed squarely at people who want value but don’t want to keep charging their phone every night. Its 7,500mAh battery is huge, enough to last you days, not just hours. And if you’re the type who always ends up lending juice to friends, the 22.5W reverse charging means your phone can double as a power bank. That’s a feature I wish more budget phones had.
You also get a big 6.9-inch screen with a super-smooth 120Hz refresh rate, so scrolling and watching videos feels great. POCO even threw in Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for protection, which you almost never see at this price. That’s a nice touch.
POCO is running an early-bird promo from October 25 to November 15, 2026. The base models start at ₱11,999.
HUAWEI Vlogging with premium features
HUAWEI is going after the premium crowd with the nova 16s and nova 16s Pro. These are made for people who love taking photos and making content. If you’re always snapping pics or vlogging, these are for you.
The regular nova 16s has a 6.68-inch FHD+ OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Inside, you get the 7nm Kirin 8020 chip and 12GB of RAM. One caveat though, is that it runs on HUAWEI’s AI-powered EMUI 16.0. Still, that’s a lot of power for a phone in this class.
HUAWEI calls the nova 16s series the King of Selfies, and the specs back it up. You get a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto with 3.3x optical zoom and OIS. It also has a 50MP front camera that shoots 4K video. Perfect if you’re into vlogging or just want your selfies to look amazing. Even with a slim 7.3mm body, it still fits a 7,000mAh battery and supports 100W SuperCharge Turbo. That’s impressive.
Pre-orders for the nova 16s series start October 30, 2026. The nova 16s is ₱34,999, and the Pro version is ₱44,999.
You’ll be getting more smartphone and gift options in the coming weeks.
