AI is transforming the way we live. We ask it to write emails, collate reports, generate ideas and images, edit videos, and more. While it’s mostly confined to our computers and mobile phones, we’ll soon see smart appliances that can adjust and adapt on the fly. From air conditioners that smartly adjust the thermostat to save electricity, to refrigerators that tell you you’re running out of eggs and soda, to vacuum cleaners that can tell you they cleaned something that requires your help. These AI-powered innovations will reshape how Filipinos manage comfort, convenience, and security at home.

And we’re seeing those developments today. Here are the latest developments that tell us AI is the present and future of smart homes.

Midea: The “Master Your Home” AI Line

Midea just unveiled its new “AI Eco Master” tech at MideaCon 2026 in Clark, signaling a big push into smarter, more efficient home appliances.

They showcased the Chione Inverter Series, which brings AI-powered humidity control and an Eco Mode built for the Philippine climate, so you get cooler air and lower bills. They also showed the Avigator Full DC Inverter promises up to 40% less energy waste, thanks to its AI Smart Control. And if you want to do your own laundry, the Midea Titanium Series front-loaders now connect straight to Midea’s mobile app, letting you monitor and control your wash from anywhere.

Samsung Bespoke AI 2026 (Local Rollout)

Samsung’s new Bespoke AI lineup for 2026 is all about “Zero Clearance” designs, perfect for those tight condo kitchens in the city.

Samsung’s Bespoke AI Refrigerators now feature AI Energy Mode via SmartThings, helping Filipino households cut energy use by up to 15%. They also have their new Smart Slide-in Ranges, offering No Preheat Air Fry Max and Air Sous Vide, catering to the growing number of home cooks in the Philippines.

Anker eufy: Smart Home for Parenting & Hygiene

Anker is stepping up in the Philippines, expanding beyond power banks to smart home gadgets tailored to local needs. And eufy is making it happen. We’ve featured baby care months before, but now, they’re here. There’s a lot of buzz about the eufy Robot Vacuum Omni C28, which features a HydroJet self-cleaning mop that keeps itself clean while tackling the dust and dirt common in tropical homes.  And for the baby, the eufy Bottle Washer S1 Pro is a premium tabletop washer for baby bottles, using a triple-layer high-pressure spray to keep things extra clean.

TP-Link Tapo: Security Expansion

We like TP-Link. Whenever we look for a network switch or an access point, we always go for it.  It’s the go-to brand in the Philippines for easy-to-use tech, and their newest releases focus on sharper, smarter home security.

The Tapo C720 Smart Floodlight Camera is a solid pick for anyone needing extra security for garages or outdoor areas. There’s also a growing popularity of solar-powered options like the Tapo C615G KIT, which don’t require hardwiring, making them renter-friendly and easy to install.

And while these are the more popular and branded, there’s a literal treasure trove of smart home alternatives on Lazada, Shopee, and other online shops. Access to these more affordable products could be the tipping point for the smart home revolution in the Philippines.  We just have to make sure all of these devices are of high quality, meet safety standards, and provide secure access to our homes.
