Samsung Electronics America and Barclays have launched the Samsung Galaxy Credit Card, its first credit card in the United States. Issued on the Visa network and available in Samsung Wallet, the card offers financing options for Samsung Galaxy devices, home appliances, and entertainment products. Cardholders can also earn cash rewards on everyday purchases.

Samsung officials said that collaborating with like-minded partners, such as Barclays, is what made the Samsung Galaxy Card possible. Samsung said this marks another milestone in the evolution of Samsung Wallet and mobile payments, offering a new solution for busy users who want cash rewards whether they’re running errands or purchasing the latest Galaxy devices.

No annual fee and cash rewards on every purchase

The Samsung Galaxy Card has no annual fee. Cardholders earn 5% cash rewards on purchases made directly from Samsung in the U.S., 3% on purchases using Samsung Wallet, 2% on streaming services like Netflix, Disney+ and Spotify, and 1% on other purchases. New cardholders can get $200 in cash rewards after spending $2,000 in the first 90 days. The card also offers a 20% discount on Samsung VIP Advantage membership when used for purchase or renewal. Convenience and security for Samsung Galaxy Credit Card

Samsung Galaxy Card is integrated into Samsung Wallet, so cardholders can use and manage their account directly from a Galaxy device. Samsung Wallet also stores payment cards, passes, IDs, digital keys, and more, making it easier to handle daily tasks.

Cardholders earn cash rewards on every purchase, whether for everyday spending or larger purchases. Rewards can be earned across mobile, home, entertainment, and other categories.

Barclays and Visa: Experience and global acceptance

Barclays, for its part, works with brands like Samsung to build co-branded card programs aimed at customer loyalty and engagement. The partnership supports Samsung in offering payment options for its customer base as Barclays expands its U.S. digital banking presence.

The program reflects Barclays’ focus on building co-branded card programs that support customer engagement and loyalty.

By bringing together Samsung’s innovation, Barclays’ co-brand capabilities, and Visa’s trusted network, Samsung Galaxy Credit Card delivers a connected experience that helps consumers earn rewards while providing the security and acceptance needed to support commerce wherever they choose to shop.

We’ll know soon if Samsung will roll out its Samsung credit card in Asia and the rest of the world.
