Acer’s ultralight Swift Notebook and Atlas Predator redefine PC computing

The new Acer Predator Atlas 7 and Acer Swift redefine PC computing

We’re already halfway through September, and Acer isn’t slowing down. After debuting its Project Dual Mini concept, Acer also showcased its sub-800g Swift notebook and its Predator Atlas 7 handheld PC, powered by an Arc G3 graphics chipset. The Taiwanese manufacturer is redefining PC computing.

Acer is targeting two groups: professionals who want a lightweight laptop for work and gamers looking for strong graphics in a handheld device.

Featherweight Engineering PC Computing

The new Swift notebook weighs under 800 grams, thanks to a magnesium-lithium and magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis. Even with the lighter build, the frame stays solid and resists flex around the keyboard and hinge.

It comes with a 14-inch 2.8K OLED display at 120Hz, covers the full DCI-P3 color range, and has slim bezels. Inside, the Swift uses new low-power chips and a dedicated NPU for local AI tasks like Copilot, battery monitoring, and noise suppression, without adding load to the main CPU.

At about 12mm thick, the Swift still offers dual USB4/Thunderbolt ports, HDMI, and Wi-Fi 7. It’s built for people who travel often and don’t want to carry extra adapters.

Predator Atlas 7: PC Computing and Gaming in your hands

The Predator Atlas 7 is Acer’s new handheld PC for gamers. It uses Intel’s Arc G3 discrete graphics, which supports hardware ray tracing and XeSS 3 upscaling in a 7-inch device.

It has a 7-inch Full HD+ IPS touchscreen at 144Hz with VRR to prevent screen tearing in games. High-speed LPDDR5X RAM helps keep games and apps running smoothly.

Acer uses a custom vapor-chamber cooling system and two thin AeroBlade fans to keep the Atlas 7 cool without heating up the areas you hold. The controls include Hall-effect joysticks, analog triggers, and rear macro paddles. Users can adjust power profiles and remap controls with the updated PredatorSense Mobile app.

While we won’t see the Project Dual Mini in a while, we think that the Predator Atlas 7 could be your next handheld gaming PC. Not only can it run the latest AAA games, but it’s your PC workhorse. Slap in a portable monitor or a gaming monitor, a dock, a keyboard and mouse, and you’re all set.

Both the Swift ultraportable and Predator Atlas 7 will be available soon through regional dealers, concept stores, and official online shops. They come with standard multi-year warranties and optional dock accessories.
