Shokz has launched two new open-ear audio products: OpenRun Air 2 and OpenFit Air 2. Both aim to deliver the comfort and situational awareness Shokz is known for, now in more accessible designs.
OpenFit Air 2 and OpenRun Air 2 add lighter, more compact open-ear options to the Shokz lineup for both active use and daily wear.
OpenRun Air 2 is a bone conduction sports headphone for running, cycling, hiking, and outdoor training. OpenFit Air 2 is a true wireless earbud aimed at workouts, commuting, and all-day use. Both keep the ear canal open so users can hear music, calls, and what’s happening around them.
Shokz is updating its lineup to meet the needs of users who want audio products for both active and daily routines.
OpenRun Air 2: Lightweight Comfort Built for Every Run and Adventure
OpenRun Air 2 is aimed at runners, cyclists, and outdoor users. It’s over 9% smaller than the previous OpenRun and weighs 26.4 g, offering a lighter, more secure fit for a range of activities.
The ear hooks are redesigned to better fit the ear and reduce pressure. A forward-shifted center of gravity helps minimize bounce. The memory alloy frame adds stability, and the open-ear design keeps users aware of their surroundings. Powered by PremiumPitch™ 3.0, the upgraded bone conduction driver aims for improved bass and vocal clarity compared to the previous model. Users can adjust sound settings through the Shokz App with preset and custom EQ options.
OpenRun Air 2 delivers up to 10 hours of battery life, 25% longer than the previous model. A 5-minute quick charge gives up to two hours of playback. It has an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, a USB-C charging port, physical control buttons, and an AI noise-reduction microphone for calls. Available in Black and Ice Blue, in Standard and Mini sizes.
OpenFit Air 2: The Lightest OpenFit Yet
OpenFit Air 2 is a true wireless earbud that avoids the pressure of in-ear designs. At 7.2 g per earbud, it’s the lightest in the OpenFit line. The charging case is 10.5% smaller, and the combined weight of earbuds and case is 17.6% less than before, making it easier to carry.
The ear hook uses a 0.75 mm Ni-Ti alloy frame for flexibility and support, keeping the earbuds secure during workouts and daily use. The open-ear design reduces pressure and heat for longer wear.
OpenFit Air 2 uses Shokz’s patented Bassphere™ drive and OpenBass 2.0 algorithm to improve bass and sound depth. The 30-degree angled speaker directs audio toward the ear, and DirectPitch technology helps reduce sound leakage. Users can adjust EQ settings through the Shokz App.
OpenFit Air 2 offers up to 8 hours of listening per charge, or up to 36 hours with the case. A 10-minute quick charge gives up to three hours of playback. The earbuds have pressure-sensitive controls, a dual-microphone system with AI noise reduction, IP55 sweat and water resistance, Bluetooth 6.1, multipoint pairing, and support for Fast Pair, Swift Pair, and Find My Earbuds. Available in Black, White, and Ice Blue.
