We’re in the final weeks of Q3, and new mobile phone releases keep coming. We wonder why (cue Maria Carey’s most beloved holiday song). HONOR, OPPO, and Huawei are rolling out new ones and flagship phones and right, with improvements in battery tech, processors, and display brightness. OPPO, HONOR, and Huawei have each launched new flagship devices aimed at different parts of the premium market. Here’s a look at the OPPO Reno16 Series 5G, HONOR Magic V6, and Huawei Pura X View.
OPPO Reno16 5G: The Megapixel Powerhouse
OPPO is focusing on mobile photography with the Reno16 5G. This mid-range device fits a full set of 50MP cameras into a 6.32-inch body. On the back, you get wide, ultra-wide, and 3.5x telephoto lenses, plus a 50MP front camera for selfies and video.
The Reno16 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. OPPO fits a 6,700 mAh battery into an 8.36mm chassis and supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. The 120Hz AMOLED display peaks at 1800 nits for better outdoor use. It may not be one of the flagship phones, but we’re still impressed with it.

HONOR Magic V6: Foldable Flagship
HONOR’s Magic V6 is a foldable with a 7.95-inch LTPO OLED inner screen. The display uses HONOR’s Super Armored Inner Screen tech for better durability and less visible creasing.
The Magic V6 uses the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. It includes a 6,660 mAh battery, which is larger than most foldables. HONOR is targeting users who want productivity features in a foldable device. If you want a smartphone that’ll catch people’s eye, one of these foldable flagship phones will do nicely.

Huawei Pura X View: Display-Focused Flagship
The Huawei Pura X View focuses on display quality and design. It has a 6.39-inch LTPO2 OLED display with a peak brightness of 6,500 nits and a 2160Hz PWM dimming rate for eye comfort during long use.
The Pura X View runs on the HiSilicon Kirin 9020 chipset, supports 5G, and uses Huawei’s HarmonyOS 5.0. It measures 6.7mm thick and weighs 201 grams, making it a lightweight option for users who want a slim, easy-to-carry phone with a strong display.

More smartphone flagship choices
And yes, as we head into the 2026 holiday season, buyers have three new flagship options. The OPPO Reno16 offers strong battery life and camera flexibility, the HONOR Magic V6 brings a large foldable screen, and the Huawei Pura X View focuses on display brightness.
Which one to pick? We’ll let you decide.
