RugOne aims to change that with the Xsnap 7 Pro, introduced at IFA Berlin 2026. This rugged phone features a modular 39-gram action camera built into its chassis. It targets extreme-sports users, field technicians, and content creators who carry mounts, phones, and action cameras.
A 39-Gram Modular Camera Docked in Your Pocket
The Xsnap 7 Pro’s main feature is its detachable action camera. The 39-gram module connects magnetically and can be mounted on helmets, chest harnesses, bike handlebars, or pendants for hands-free point-of-view recording.
The camera module includes several practical imaging features:
- Video and optics: Records up to 2.7K at 30 fps with a 133-degree wide field of view, lens distortion correction, FreeFrame capture, slow motion, and HDR modes.
- Horizon and motion locking: Uses SteadyX electronic stabilization and 360-degree Horizon Lock to keep footage level on rough terrain.
- Independent operation: Includes 64GB of built-in storage, enough for about eight hours of 1080p video, and runs for 40 minutes per charge.
- Autonomous charging: When docked, the camera recharges from the phone’s battery and supports up to 20 full recharge cycles.
- Waterproofing: Rated for submersion up to 5 meters without an external case.
Heavy-Duty Rugged Phone Hardware
RugOne equipped this rugged phone with hardware that matches other premium flagships. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 5G platform. It has 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
Additionally, the rugged phone features a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. It reaches up to 1,700 nits of brightness for outdoor use. The 9,300mAh dual-cell battery supports 45W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

Built for tough environments and modern AI features
The RugOne rugged phone is rated IP68 and IP69K for dust and water resistance, and meets MIL-STD-810H standards for drops up to 1.5 meters onto concrete.
The Xsnap 7 Pro ships with Android 16 and will receive OS upgrades through Android 20. It includes generative AI tools powered by Google Gemini, plus toolkits for speech translation, live transcription, circle-to-search, and automated field reporting.
