XPPen has announced the Artist Ultra 14, a portable drawing display with a 2.8K OLED screen, accurate color, X-Touch controls, and a slim build. Released for the company’s 21st anniversary, the Artist Ultra 14 aims to deliver strong performance in a compact form factor for creators who need to work on the go.
Creative workflows are increasingly flexible, requiring tools that adapt to changing work styles. The Artist Ultra 14 is designed to provide professional creators with greater mobility without sacrificing visual quality or creative performance, enabling artists to work across diverse environments and expand the possibilities of digital art.
Professional portable drawing display performance for creative excellence
The Artist Ultra 14 uses a 2.8K OLED display with a True RGB Stripe pixel layout, native 10-bit color, and covers 99% of Adobe RGB, sRGB, and Display P3 gamuts. With Delta E below 1 and Calman Verified certification, it offers reliable color accuracy for illustration, animation, and other creative work.
A 90Hz refresh rate and fast OLED response time help reduce motion blur and pen latency for smoother drawing and playback. The 100,000:1 contrast ratio improves shadow detail. The AG nano-etched glass surface cuts glare, and hybrid dimming reduces flicker to help with eye strain during long sessions.
The Artist Ultra 14 portable drawing display comes with two X3 Pro styli, each supporting 16,000 pressure levels and 60-degree tilt for precise input. The X-Touch system adds multi-finger gestures, customizable touch zones, and a floating shortcut menu for easier navigation. A new virtual tablet mode lets users control up to 10 screens with the stylus, making it easier to move files and windows between displays.

The Artist Ultra 14 has two side buttons preset for the floating menu and virtual tablet mode, but you can customize them. It ships with the ACK05 Shortcut Remote, a foldable stand, and a pen case for a more complete setup.
Ultra-Slim Design for Creative Mobility
The Artist Ultra 14 measures 6mm thick and weighs 720g, making it easy to carry between locations. Its 16:10 display gives more vertical space than a 16:9 screen, which can help with toolbars and timelines. The etched glass and 14.5mm bezel keep the display compact and focused on the workspace.
Curved edges are designed for a more comfortable wrist position during long sessions. The aluminum alloy back helps with heat dissipation and durability. A single USB-C cable handles power, video, and data, keeping setups simple and reducing cable clutter.
