Ollobot takes care of your kid plus Hisense has a new awesome TV

AI and robots dominate tech news today. You’ve seen the kind of capabilities current AIs have now, and robots are pretty in the news, from doing manual work 24/7 to dancing  to the late Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” song.  Robots are also taking care of people now, and you might see the Ollobot, the robot companion for your kid.

OlloBot is bringing its unique cyberpet concept to North America with an offline event in late June. Visitors can check out plush collectibles based on OlloNi, the brand’s friendly robot companion, and get an early look at the upcoming OlloNi SS1 prototype. After the showcase, OlloNi SS1 will launch on Kickstarter in late August.

After making a splash at CES 2026 with its expressive, people-friendly design, OlloBot is taking a different approach to home robots. Instead of focusing on chores or simple entertainment, OlloBot wants its cyber pets to offer a real emotional connection. The idea is to create easygoing companions that help fill the loneliness gap in today’s homes.

OlloBot’s goal is to build technology that feels warm and welcoming. The robots have a friendly, rounded look and use multiple screens to show expressions, like shifting their gaze to connect with you. They’re designed to fit into daily life, staying responsive without needing your attention all the time.

OlloBot wants to change how we think about smart home tech by focusing on companionship instead of just features. The aim is to bring gentle, comforting robots into everyday spaces, making technology feel more like a friend than a tool.
