The tech and car industry have been busy in the first week of April 2026, releasing new products. We’re moving past the “concept” phase of the major trade shows. Several heavy hitters have officially hit shelves or opened for pre-order since April 1st.
From smart home screens to new flagship phones, here are five releases from the first week of April 2026 and the first week of Q2.
Samsung “The Frame Pro” (2026 Series)
Samsung’s latest Frame Pro takes its lifestyle TV up a notch. The new Glare Free tech means digital art actually looks like a real canvas, even in bright rooms. The 2026 version also packs the NQ4 AI Gen3 chip, which handles upscaling, and a new Vision AI Companion for voice control.
- Key Feature: Fully wireless transmission via the Wireless One Connect Box.

Motorola “Signature” & Edge 70 Series
Motorola is going all-in on premium with the new Signature, plus the Edge 70 and Edge 70 Fusion. The highlight is the Cloud Dancer edition, which uses Pantone’s 2026 Color of the Year. It also comes with Moto Buds 2 Plus, tuned by Bose.
- Key Feature: Ultra-premium build quality and a fully integrated AI ecosystem (CrystalTalk AI)

Petkit Intelligent AI Pet Feeder
]Petkit’s latest AI pet feeder is out now. It’s more than just a timer. There’s a camera and AI that tracks how your pets eat, spots health issues, and even figures out which pet is eating to stop food stealing in homes with more than one animal.
- Key Feature: Health-tracking analytics that sync directly with veterinary apps.

IKEA Solskydd Bluetooth Speaker
IKEA’s new Solskydd speaker is a round, 18-inch model that stands out from their usual boxy designs. It’s built for good sound at a lower price than most premium brands, and it fits right in with this year’s smart home trend.
- Key Feature: Unique mid-century geometric design options and “levitating” sound profiles.

Volkswagen AUDI E7X (Exterior Reveal)
While not a “handheld” consumer product, this is the biggest tech story in the automotive sector this week. Audi debuted the exterior of their second series-production electric model, the E7X, specifically designed for the 2026 smart-vehicle market.

A few honorable mentions:
iPhone 17e (Special Edition)
Apple’s iPhone 17e brings back the “e” for essential. It runs on the A19 chip in a slimmer, cheaper body. If you want Apple Intelligence but don’t want to pay Pro prices, this is the one to get.

Frank Green “Power Bottle” (iPhone Integrated)
Frank Green’s new Power Bottle is a water bottle with a built-in MagSafe mount and battery for your iPhone. It might sound like a prank, but it’s real, and it’s aimed at content creators who want a tripod and charger built into their bottle…
This is an April Fool’s joke. But just imagine if your water bottle can be a mount and charge your phone at the same time.
Do check out Frank Green Water Bottles, though, as they are some solidly built water bottles.
