Riot Games recently revealed the next set for its strategy auto battler game, Teamfight Tactics, titled Enchanted Wilds. It takes place in a magical forest filled with new traits, champions, mechanics, and strategies. Players can explore fresh ways to build their teams and try out new approaches in this vibrant setting.
The set draws inspiration from magical forests and fairy tales and introduces the new Wisps mechanic, several new Origins, and a lineup of Legendary champions.
Enchanted Wilds will be available on the PBE starting July 28.
Last March, Riot Games rolled out a TFT Set called Space Gods, its 17th set for TFT and the first one for 2026.
Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming set:
Set Mechanic: Wisps
● Wisps are the core new mechanic in Enchanted Wilds. These magical creatures show up in your shop as single-use power-ups. Inspired by the Charms mechanic from Magic N’ Mayhem, Wisps give you options like combat boosts, extra gold, experience, or riskier rewards.
● Players can purchase one Wisp per round, with stronger Wisps appearing as the game progresses.
● Wisps build on the old Charms mechanic with clearer effects, more variety, better visuals, and new progression systems that add depth as the game goes on.
● Each Wisp you buy comes with its own unique animation and original art, adding some personality to your matches.
Traits & Origins
Enchanted Wilds brings in new champions and traits that encourage players to try different team builds and strategies.
● Riftbeasts: This trait brings classic League of Legends jungle monsters into its strategy auto battler game. You can power up each beast with the Alpha Mark system, unlocking buffs like Red and Blue, plus new ones like Purple for Gromp and Orange for Raptor. As you level up the trait, more Riftbeasts appear in your shop, and at the highest level, you can add the Elder Dragon, a powerful two-slot unit, to your team.
● Elderwood: This trait lets you place special forest plants on the board, giving your team defensive boosts, extra support, and more frontline options. Elderwood works well with other traits, making it a flexible choice for many team comps.
● Sunbeam, Moonbeam, and Eclipse: These traits can be combined to unlock a hidden bonus.
○ Sunbeam: This trait gives your team shields and bonus magic damage, with bigger effects if you have more 3-star units.
○ Moonbeam: Moonbeam champions and nearby allies get extra attack speed and magic damage.
○ If you combine Sunbeam and Moonbeam, you unlock the Eclipse trait. Eclipse will automatically take out the lowest-health enemy every few seconds once both traits are active in combat.
● Blossom: This trait upgrades every Wisp you get, making them stronger and giving you more ways to use them as you build your team.
Champions
The Legendary champions in this set add even more depth to Enchanted Wilds.
● Draven comes with a new bounty system that gives you personal objectives during each match. Completing these tasks can earn you anything from extra gold to bigger rewards.
● Ivern brings a new board-building mechanic with his Greenfather trait. As he casts, he plants seeds that transform the board into biomes such as forests, bogs, canyons, and waterfalls. Each biome gives unique bonuses to units on those hexes, and if you finish the biome, the last hex becomes the God-Willow for an extra boost.
● Lux is back from Set 2 as a flexible Legendary champion. When you buy her, she counts twice for her chosen Origin and blocks that Origin from showing up for other players unless you sell her.
New Set Highlights:
● Carousel is back in Enchanted Wilds, letting players draft items and champions at each stage.
● Enchanted Wilds makes it easier to mix and match team synergies thanks to lower trait breakpoints. You can build flexible teams or go for big vertical traits like Elderwood and Riftbeasts. With Wisps, splashable champions, hidden traits, and versatile Legendaries, there are plenty of strategies for both competitive and casual players.

Enchanted Wilds is also launching with a new set of cosmetics, including:

Esports Updates
Teamfight Tactics has also announced Convergence Fest, a community event combining the TFT Vegas Open and the Riftbound NA Regional Championship. The event takes place in Las Vegas from December 11 to 13. Players can compete, watch matches, and meet other fans at Riot’s biggest strategy game event yet.
