There are gaming PCs, and then there are the Asus ROG (Republic of Gamers) Gaming PCs. They’re always top-of-the-line models that are the dreams of many gamers. Well, Asus just entered the next high-end prebuilt PC market with the ROG G1000 (2026) Gaming PC. While high-spec components are standard for this segment, ASUS is focusing on chassis design with the G1000. It is the first prebuilt gaming desktop to feature integrated holographic fans, turning the cooling system into a customizable visual element.
The AniMe Holo feature uses three front-mounted fans as transparent projection surfaces. Instead of typical RGB lighting, users can project custom animations and graphics onto the spinning blades while still seeing the components inside. The design has already received the 2026 Red Dot Product Design Award and the iF Design Award.
The ROG G1000 is built for demanding gaming workloads. It runs on AMD’s Ryzen 9 X3D series processors, including the 9950X3D. With AMD’s 3D V-Cache technology, these chips offer the cache capacity needed to reduce CPU bottlenecks in high-refresh-rate gaming.
Graphics options include up to the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090, based on Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture and supporting DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation. The Astral GPU uses a quad-fan array and a vapor chamber for cooling. For those who prefer AMD, the ASUS Prime Radeon RX 9070 XT is also available, supporting FidelityFX Super Resolution 4.1 and Fluid Motion Frames 2.
The system uses the ASUS PRIME X870-P WIFI motherboard, designed for sustained high loads with a 14+2+1 power stage. It includes WiFi 7 with Multi-Link Operation and 40 Gbps USB ports. The G1000 supports up to 128GB of DDR5 RAM and up to four PCIe Gen 5 M.2 slots, with up to 4TB of storage at 7,000 MB/s read speeds. Power comes from a 1000W 80 PLUS Gold modular supply.
To prevent thermal throttling, the G1000 uses a Thermal Atrium design. This airflow pathway pulls fresh air over the VRMs, CPU, and GPU before exhausting it.
The ROG G1000 (2026) combines new hardware with holographic design features. It brings some of the appeal of custom case mods to a prebuilt system.
