The PH EV Market is set for faster growth, thanks to a major boost in government funding and new private-sector investments. This week, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) proposed a 605% budget increase for the national EV program in 2027. Meanwhile, JETOUR Auto Philippines announced three new dealerships to meet rising demand. These moves point to a steady shift toward cleaner mobility nationwide.
Record-Breaking Funding for the PH EV Market’s EVIDP
The DBM is seeking a ₱228.92 million budget for the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Program (EVIDP) in 2027, up from ₱32.46 million in 2026. The increase is meant to support the country’s move toward sustainable energy.
The funding will support the “EVision” project, which focuses on installing charging infrastructure in government offices. The plan also includes a new Electric Vehicle Charging System Testing Facility to check the safety and reliability of charging networks as they expand.

DBM Secretary Kim Robert C. De Leon said the investment supports the administration’s clean-energy goals. Building infrastructure is key to making EVs practical for daily use. The EVIDP budget is part of the Department of Energy’s proposed ₱5.58-billion allocation for 2027. It’s aimed at improving energy security and cutting the transport sector’s dependence on imported fuel.
JETOUR Drives PH EV Market further
While the government builds infrastructure, private car makers are expanding their networks to deliver vehicles. JETOUR Auto Philippines will open three new dealerships to reach more customers nationwide.
The new dealerships, run by Britanica United Motors Incorporated and Grand Canyon Multi Holdings Incorporated. The new ones will be in EDSA-Greenhills (Metro Manila), Tarlac (Central Luzon), and Iloilo (Western Visayas). JETOUR says these sites will strengthen its presence in Metro Manila. It will also help reach provincial markets where interest in green vehicles is growing.

For JETOUR, which offers models like the T2 Lightning i-DM and Dashing PHEV, strong dealership support matters. The new locations will offer local sales, faster parts supply, and after-sales service. It’ll make it easier for provincial buyers to consider EVs and hybrids. And Jetour says that buyers outside Metro Manila will get support outside Metro Manila.
A Synchronized Push for Green Mobility
The combined efforts of government and private companies show that the Philippine automotive sector is maturing. By tackling range anxiety with more charging stations and local EV testing, brands can expand into more regions. This joint push marks a step forward in the country’s move to cleaner, more modern transport.
