It’s always good to have smart security systems for your home. The installation may be a bit of work, but once you’ve set it up, you can control everything through your mobile or computer app. Dahua Technology, a leading AIoT solution and service provider, rolled out major upgrades to its AirShield alarm system to simplify setup, enhance the user experience, and reduce maintenance costs. The latest updates focus on cloud services, video verification, and better system integration, tackling the usual headaches of traditional alarm systems.
The improved cloud service is designed for everyone involved: installers, end users, and alarm centers. Installers can now set up devices remotely with a mobile app, so there’s no need for keypads or computers. Smart diagnostics help speed up service calls. End users get instant notifications and can control their security system, including arming, disarming, and reaching professional help, all from the app. The platform brings together alarms, cameras, and access control in one place. For alarm centers, Dahua DoLynk Cloud makes it easier to add new devices, avoid setup mistakes with preset options, and even add custom branding.
Dahua AirShield now offers reliable video verification over wireless connections, with options like PIR-Cam and both hardware and software link modes. The PIR-Cam can send six high-res images to users or monitoring centers in just six seconds over a standard wireless network. With hardware linkage, alarm panels connect directly to cameras on the local network, so alarm rules are handled locally, and video is uploaded to the cloud only once. This helps reduce delays and makes the system more reliable. If the main network goes down, a 4G backup keeps everything running smoothly.
The system hub brings together cameras, recorders, and alarms, letting users control devices and view alarm-triggered video clips from a single log. Only the necessary footage is uploaded, helping protect privacy and allowing cameras to keep working even when offline. Swapping PIR-Cams for regular cameras can lower installation costs and make setup easier. Alarm centers can also respond faster without needing extra video platforms.
Indoor video terminals can double as alarm keypads, giving users full control and real-time alerts on a large screen, helping cut hardware costs. Alarm centers have flexible integration options, connecting through SIA or custom protocols. Developers can use Dahua’s APIs, with Open ARC for cloud access and device control, and Open IoT for remote setup and custom solutions.
With these upgrades, Dahua AirShield raises the bar for smart alarm systems, making security management more efficient for everyone.
