Google just pulled the covers off its new Pixel 11 lineup: the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL. If you’re looking for your next Android phone or love Google Pixel, then check them out. Google Pixel Brains: Tensor G6 and Gemini Nano
The Pixel 11 series runs on the new Google Tensor G6 chip, and they say it’s built to handle AI tasks right on your phone. It could be a game-changer.
- Specs-wise, the Tensor G6 has 50% more TPU power. That means AI features run up to 3.5 times faster and use way less energy than last year’s chip.
- It’s not just about AI, either. Everyday stuff like web browsing is 25% faster, and apps open 15% quicker.
- Security gets a big bump too. The new Titan M3 chip adds post-quantum cryptography to secure boot, so your phone is ready for whatever hackers throw at it in the future.
Design: Baby got less back
Were you annoyed by older Pixels wobbling on your desk because of the thick camera at the back? Well, Google finally fixed it. Starting with the base Pixel 11, the camera bar’s thickness has been reduced by 40%. And if you use a Made by Google case, the phone could be completely flat, virtually bumpless.
The Pro models get Google’s brightest screen yet, hitting 3,600 nits. There’s also a new anti-scratch coating that’s twice as tough as before.

Say Hello to Google Pixel “HiLight”
Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL get a new exclusive feature called HiLight, and it’s actually pretty cool.
HiLight uses colored LEDs around the camera flash to give you info when your phone is face down. If you’re working and want to avoid screen pop-ups, HiLight glows in different colors for certain callers or lights up in patterns to show when Gemini is listening or responding. Of course, you can still turn off Gemini listening to every word you say.
Camera: Going the Distance (Literally)
Pixel phones have always been great for photos, but the upgrades for this year are substantial:
- Pixel 11: A new, larger 48-megapixel main sensor brings 56% more light sensitivity for low-light shots. The 5x telephoto lens now supports up to 30x Super Zoom.
- Pixel 11 Pro & Pro XL: The Pros get a completely new main sensor and a redesigned 48-megapixel telephoto lens (with 30% more light sensitivity). You can now shoot Portrait Mode at 5x optical zoom, and thanks to the Tensor G6, you can push your zoom all the way out to an incredible 120x Pro Zoom.
- Night Sight is now up to 4.5 times faster. No more holding your breath for five seconds just to get a decent shot in the dark.
And charging finally gets an upgrade. All three models start at 256GB of storage and now support Qi 2.2 25W wireless charging, plus built-in PixelSnap.
If you still like charging with a cable, the Pixel 11 Pro XL is the winner. According to Google, 15 minutes plugged in with a high-wattage charger gets you 15 hours of battery life.
Pricing and Availability
Here’s the really great thing about Pixel. Google is keeping its promise of longevity, offering seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates across the board. Plus, Pro buyers get a 6-month trial of Google AI Pro (which includes 5 TB of cloud storage and Google Health Premium).
