School is back, and for families with kids, schedules will get hectic again. We think everyone knows what that means. Back-to-school season is often when family routines get stretched the most. DAKboard, known for its digital calendars and dashboards, has launched TouchHub, an interactive display. The new upgrade turns DAKboard from a passive display into an interactive hub for managing schedules, smart home controls, and daily tasks.
DAKboard’s interactive display helps families keep track of the day’s schedule and get out the door on time during the back-to-school rush. It’s like a digital bulletin board that family members can check daily.
With DAKboard TouchHub, kids can use the Family Chores Manager App on the screen to check off daily tasks like packing lunches or emptying the dishwasher. This helps reinforce routines for the new school year.
TouchHub’s Family Chores Manager is a shared digital chore chart. Each family member has their own section, and chores can be checked off with a tap. Kids earn points for completed tasks, which can be exchanged for rewards set by parents. A Child Lock feature ensures kids can only mark their own chores as done. This replaces manual whiteboards and scattered phone apps.

TouchHub also supports Home Assistant as a standalone app, allowing control of lights, locks, and thermostats from the wall. A new dock makes it easy to switch between calendars, photos, weather, and other screens. A Meal Planner feature is planned for release soon.
TouchHub keeps DAKboard’s focus on customization and integration. It runs on TVs, tablets, monitors, Raspberry Pi, browsers, or the DAKboard Android App. Users can try TouchHub on any touchscreen device they already have, without needing to buy new hardware.
The makers of Dakboard TouchHub say that back-to-school is the most hectic time for families, with the mental load of organizing schedules often falling on one person. TouchHub was created to centralize family routines and make it easier for everyone to contribute, especially when routines are most needed.
We think families should get this to make their school lives a little easier.
TouchHub is available now on every DAKboard plan, including the free tier. To learn more, visit dakboard.com.
