VALORANT just dropped a fresh batch of dev updates for Patch 13.06, and there’s a lot to unpack. We’re talking a new experimental game mode, a shiny automatic rifle, and an Agent Mastery system. We are also getting tweaks to competitive progression and a handful of quality-of-life upgrades. Here’s the quick rundown. If you want the deep dive, check out the full dev update or grab the press kit.
Gauntlet: Glitched (new game mode)
Gauntlet: Glitched is VALORANT’s latest experimental mode, landing with Patch 13.06 right before Champions. Picture this: eight duos draft abilities from a random pool to build their own Robo-Agent mashups, then battle it out in a round-robin tournament. The twist? Glitches pop up to remix familiar abilities, so you’ll see some wild combos and curveballs until one team is left standing.
Warden (new rifle)
Meet the Warden, VALORANT’s new automatic rifle joining the Vandal and Phantom club. This one packs a punch with a beefed-up Aim Down Sights, giving you more options when you’re shopping for firepower. It’s built for locking down those long sightlines because it offers sniper vibes, but without actually picking up a sniper. More choices for your arsenal, more ways to flex your playstyle.

New Agent Mastery System
The Agent Mastery System is getting a makeover. Out goes Agent Gear, in comes a mastery track that actually rewards you for sticking with your favorite Agents and playing well. You’ll get to show off with customizable Agent IDs and snag rewards like portraits, icons, borders, and other cosmetics, which are perfect for flexing your main and proving you’ve put in the hours.
Competitive Updates
Competitive progression is getting a facelift to make your achievements actually feel like, well, achievements. A new Competitive Flex system is coming in 2027 that’ll evolve as you rack up ranked wins, unlocking upgrades each Act. You’ll also see profile improvements next patch and fresh Competitive Rewards when the 2027 season kicks off.
More Valorant Game Updates!
Other Valorant game updates on the way: a slicker home screen, Practice Range access while you’re stuck in matchmaking queues, console launches for Australia and New Zealand, and a new Agent dropping after Champions. Not a bad haul.
