Remote work and outdoor activities are driving up demand for reliable, portable off-grid power. Iris Solar Technology has introduced the Iris T1, an all-in-one portable solar generator designed to keep users connected off-grid. The Iris T1 is built for hikers, campers, digital nomads, and anyone needing backup power.
The Iris T1 stands out with Dual-Axial Solar Tracking, a feature rarely found in consumer portable solar panels. Most portable chargers need manual adjustment to follow the sun. The T1 handles this automatically, tracking the sun’s path to improve solar efficiency by 20% to 40% over fixed panels. This helps maintain steady power output throughout the day without user input. And seriously, the Iris T1 looks like an energy-generating device dreamt up in sci-fi novels. This off-grid power generator is so cool to look at, and it works by constantly adjusting to absorb solar rays.
Even with its tracking tech, the Iris T1 is built for travel. It weighs 6 kilograms (about 13.2 lbs) and fits into a standard backpack. The cable-free, modular design uses magnetic clip-on solar panels and detachable legs, making setup quick and saving space. The unit is sturdy enough for use in rough conditions.
The Iris T1 uses a 30W solar panel made from weather-resistant monocrystalline silicon. It charges a 270Wh detachable battery that is easy to remove and replace, supporting long-term use. Universal USB-PD connectivity lets users charge smartphones, tablets, PD-compatible laptops, lights, and drones without extra adapters.
This off-grid power generator also connects to the Iris Dashboard mobile app, which lets users monitor energy use and generation in real time. You can check battery capacity or solar input from your phone, whether you’re in a tent or on the trail.
Early reviewers have highlighted the T1’s sun-tracking feature and design. More than 1,000 people have joined the waitlist ahead of launch.
The Iris T1 solar power tracker and off-grid power generator is currently in pre-order. Its sun-tracking, portable design, and replaceable battery make it a practical off-grid power option for outdoor use. You can also use it as a portable home generator.
