TENNIIX, a sponsor of the 2026 Billie Jean King Cup Finals, introduced the TENNIIX ULTRA MAX, a tennis AI-training robot developed with Shenzhen Enhanced Power Technology and LimX Dynamics. The demo combined AI-driven tennis training with robotic mobility to show a different approach to sports practice.

During a session with Chinese tennis player Wang Qiang, ULTRA MAX sent a mix of topspin shots and deep looping balls, changing placement to keep her moving. The exchanges showed the robot can deliver consistent ball quality and maintain pressure, even for a pro.

ULTRA MAX combines the TENNIIX PRO AI training system with LimX Dynamics’ TRON 2 mobility platform. The system tracks ball trajectory, spin, landing points, and player movement without extra sensors. It takes voice commands and uses adaptive AI to adjust shots based on player returns, mixing in fast serves, short balls, topspin, and slices.

LimX Dynamics provides a wheeled-leg platform that moves in any direction, turns, stops quickly, and stays stable. The robot can adjust its delivery height from 1.2 to 1.6 meters, adding variety to practice sessions.

These technologies move training away from preset drills toward sessions that respond to a player’s movement, shot choices, and consistency.

TENNIIX wants to make AI useful for everyday sports. By solving problems like finding a practice partner, the company hopes to give more players access to flexible training. The plan is to roll out ULTRA MAX in clubs and facilities to support coaching and expand practice options.

Both companies are based in Shenzhen and use the city’s robotics and engineering resources. ULTRA MAX tennis AI-training robot will also be shown at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meetings to demonstrate how embodied AI can be used in real sports settings.

Tenniix has a full line of tennis training robots, some mobile and others stationary. The Ultra Max could be the next evolutionary step in tennis training robots: mobile, with embodied AI that can train tennis athletes properly.
