Solar, wind, and renewable energy are the way to go today. While it’s great that we could see the end of the US-Israel vs. Iran war this week, and fuel prices might ease up, this tragedy is a wake-up call for everyone who depends on fossil fuels. Look towards renewable energy solutions. Check out  Vaja’s solar-tracking technology.

Vaja AB, a company focused on next-generation solar tracking, just raised €3.1 million in seed funding. That brings their total funding to €6 million so far, with support from The Footprint Firm and node.vc.

Vaja plans to use the new funding to accelerate its market launch and prove out its technology. The money will help them roll out more customer installations, keep improving their solar tracking system, and grow their team.

Horizontal solar tracking changed the game for solar power in lower latitudes, quickly becoming the global standard. Now, Vaja is aiming to do the same for regions further from the equator. Their VajaTrack system is the first cost-efficient vertical single-axis tracker, promising 25-50% more revenue than fixed-mount setups in Europe, much of North America, and large parts of Asia. It does this by boosting energy output and capturing higher-value electricity during mornings and evenings.

Vaja believes that vertical solar tracking can emerge as the dominant form of solar installation beyond 30° latitude, just as horizontal solar tracking has become the standard near the equator.

VajaTrack’s ability to boost solar yields could make local renewable energy more competitive. This could help speed up the shift away from imported fuels and move Europe closer to energy independence.

Solar energy is key to a real energy transition, and the companies making the biggest impact are the ones solving tough problems. Vaja stands out with its VajaTrack technology, which delivers more energy in places where older solutions have struggled. The team behind Vaja combines strong engineering skills with real-world business experience, putting them well-positioned to bring this new technology to market.

Thanks to high demand, Vaja is opening more installation slots for 2026. They’re now taking reservations for agricultural projects and pilot installations with solar farm developers.
