MetaOptics Ltd., will introduce five new metalens-powered consumer electronics at CES 2026 in Las Vegas from January 6-9, 2026.
- Metalens Application in a 5G Mobile Smartphone
The main product is a 5G smartphone with a metalens optical module. Its camera sits flush with the phone, so there is no camera bump. The glass-based design is heat-resistant. The phone also has a non-contact 3D fingerprint module that lets you map fingerprints without touching the sensor. The demonstration unit uses the Qualcomm Dragonwing QCM6490, a chip designed for IoT that works across different operating systems. - Rectangular Metalens on a 12-Inch Glass Wafer
MetaOptics will show a rectangular metalens on a 12-inch glass wafer. It matches the shape of standard CMOS sensors, so it captures the full area without losing edges. This design enables higher-resolution color images in a thinner, smaller glass module. - 2nd Generation MetaOptics Pico Projector
The 2nd Generation MetaOptics Pico Projector is about half the size of the previous version. It connects with USB-C, runs without a fan, and uses less power. - Enhanced Image Sharpening Algorithm
MetaOptics has developed a new image-sharpening algorithm with a Taiwanese AI partner. It runs on Nvidia GPUs and improves the clarity of color images from their IoT cameras.

“We continue to break new ground and push the limits of metalens technology, redefining what’s possible in everyday electronic devices,” said MetaOptics Executive Chairman and CEO Thng Chong Kim. “The innovation we are showcasing at CES 2026 reflects our team’s commitment to creating thinner, more portable, intelligent, and powerful optical solutions. By expanding the boundaries of nanophotonics and the power of metalens technology, our innovation sets new industry standards and benchmarks. We are excited to showcase these advancements at this prestigious, technology-focused event.”
