Get your own 4K Touchscreen and Folding Keyboard with KeyGo Gen2

Remote work and digital nomadism are now part of everyday life, so it’s no surprise that more people want hardware that’s both powerful and portable. Usually, you have to pick between a small laptop screen and carrying extra monitors. The KeyGo Gen2, now on Kickstarter, aims to solve this by combining a full-size keyboard and a 4K touchscreen into one slim, foldable device.

A Massive Visual Upgrade

The big upgrade with the Gen2 is its display. The screen is now 13 inches and offers sharp 4K resolution (3840 x 2160). It’s a 60Hz panel with 10-point multi-touch, so you can tap, swipe, and zoom right on the screen. This makes it easy to turn any laptop or mini-PC into a more interactive setup.

Refined Typing and Design

Beyond the screen, the KeyGo Gen2 is a premium input device. According to the Kickstarter campaign, the device features 12 buttons, a five-position joystick, and a quick trigger, offering a compact yet functional input option. It has refined scissor-switch keys with a 1-mm travel distance, for a snappier, more responsive typing experience. For those who enjoy a bit of aesthetic flair, the keyboard features customizable RGB backlighting with various modes, including “breathing” and “wave” effects.

The KeyGo Gen2 is built to last, with a CNC-machined aluminum body that feels solid and premium. Even with its sturdy build, it’s less than 2 cm thick when closed, making it easy to fit in a backpack or laptop sleeve.

Seamless Connectivity

The KeyGo Gen2 is designed for “plug-and-play” simplicity. Using a single USB-C cable for power, data, and video, it can connect to a wide array of devices running Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android. It also includes built-in stereo speakers, addressing one of the most common complaints about portable setups by providing integrated audio without extra peripherals.

Crowdfunding Success

The Kickstarter campaign set a goal of about $3,800, but it’s already raised over $360,000 from more than a thousand backers. The strong response is probably thanks to the company’s track record—the first KeyGo was delivered on time and got good reviews for its build quality.

Early backers can get the KeyGo Gen2 at a discount on Kickstarter, with shipping planned for May 2026. If you want a flexible, all-in-one setup that helps you work from anywhere, the KeyGo Gen2 is worth a look.
