Blizzard has revealed the next expansion for Diablo IV. Lord of Hatred continues the main campaign with a new chapter. Players will face Mephisto, the Prime Evil, after the events of Vessel of Hatred. Rumors in Skovos point to a prophet arriving in Temis, the capital city.
Demonic forces invade Sanctuary as Mephisto’s followers spread chaos. Players will join familiar faces and new allies to stop him before Sanctuary falls.

Players who pre-purchase any Age of Hatred expansion bundle will have early access to the Paladin class in Diablo IV today. The Paladin, first seen in Diablo II, returns to Diablo IV with updated skills, visuals, and features.

Explore a New Region
Explore a new region: Skovos. This area expands the open world of Sanctuary. Skovos is home to the Askari and ruled by the Amazon and Oracle Queens. It is the birthplace of Lilith, Inarius, and the first civilization. Players will explore temples by the sea and forests covered in ash. The region features volcanic areas, forests, and sunken lands. Players will find new towns, dungeons, and monsters, including cultists and sea creatures.
Ignite the Overhauled Endgame
Lord of Hatred introduces new endgame systems, offering more player choice, mastery, and rewards after the campaign. The new War Plans system lets players customize endgame progression. Choose activities, apply modifiers, and earn rewards. War Plans also introduces skill trees for all endgame content, adding more options and challenges.
Echoing Hatred is a new mode with endless waves of enemies. Players can also try fishing in Sanctuary’s waterways.
Itemization and System Updates in Lord of Hatred
Lord of Hatred adds bonus skill variants for every class, updates crafting systems including the Horadric Cube, and introduces set bonuses with the new Talisman item.
Updates for All: Loot Filter and Skill Tree Overhaul
Major updates are coming to all players, even without the expansion. All eight classes will get a skill system rework for more customization. A new Loot Filter will help players find items more easily. Skill Tree reworks, new skill variants, and a higher level cap will change how players build and customize their characters.
