Cosmo JrTrack Pro is a connected Kids' smartwatch for parents who don't want their kids to use smartphones

Cosmo has announced the JrTrack Pro, a new kids’ smartwatch designed for families who want to keep children connected without giving them a smartphone. The JrTrack Pro is built to offer essential features in a slim form factor for kids.

After nearly two years of development, the JrTrack Pro fits a 730mAh battery into a 12mm frame. It offers up to three days of standby battery life, a 5MP camera, and an AMOLED touchscreen. It provides faster processing and 3ATM water resistance rated to 30 meters.

The new hardware supports Cosmo’s safety and connection features, including HaloGPS with real-time tracking, SafeCore safety alerts, and School-Fi routines for school hours. The watch works with the updated Cosmo app. It lets families manage location, communication, contacts, routines, and settings.

Cosmo JrTrack Pro Kids' smartwatch

Cosmo spent almost two years engineering the JrTrack Pro to give families a better option for kids. The watch is designed specifically for children’s needs, offering advanced technology in a kid-friendly form. This helps parents protect the pre-smartphone years with a purpose-built device.

The JrTrack Pro joins Cosmo’s JrTrack line, offering more features, while the JrTrack 5 SE covers the basics at a lower price.

A Kids’ Smartwatch for Changing Childhood Needs

Many parents want to delay giving their children smartphones but still need a way to keep in touch. At the same time, schools and policymakers are starting to restrict smartphones and other smart devices during the school day.

A recent survey of over 2,000 parents found that 90% want their child to have access to a phone at school. But 76% value emergency contact over concerns about technology exposure. Still, 77% would prefer a dedicated device that keeps kids connected but limits distractions.

Cosmo recently introduced School-Fi, a school-detection feature that uses location data instead of schedules alone. This lets the device adjust automatically based on where the child is.

Cosmo’s approach is to design technology that fits into children’s lives, not the other way around. School-Fi uses HaloGPS for location tracking to help balance safety, learning, and connection.

Parents often face a difficult choice between highly restricted devices with limited capabilities, or devices not designed for children that require extensive parental controls. Cosmo aims to provide purpose-built tools that give both kids and parents confidence at every step.
