Teamfight Tactics, an auto-battler game developed and published by Riot Games, is coming out with its latest TFT Set called Space Gods. It is the 17th set for TFT and the first one for 2026.

Space Gods will bring new celestial champions and features to TFT. The update hits PBE servers on March 31 and goes live on mobile and PC on April 15.

TGXP³ and Gaming Dinosaur got an exclusive peek last week when Riot Games showed off Space Gods in a recent Dev Drop video. It highlights new gods, champions, traits, and cosmetics. The set also adds the Realm of the Gods mechanic, which swaps out the usual carousel for a new marketplace. The theme mixes sci-fi and fantasy.

Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming set:

Champions

Space Gods features a roster of cosmic champions eager to gain the favor of all-powerful Gods as they battle their way to the forefront of the final frontier!

  • Fan-favorite champions Master Yi, Pyke, and Maokai make their long-awaited return to the  Convergence, while Fiora, Shen, Vex, Graves, and Blitzcrank step into the arena as 5-cost champions for the first time alongside Morgana, Sona, Jhin, Zed, and Bard.
  • LeBlanc gets a TFT-exclusive skin from a recent League of Legends skinline.

Key Summons

Space Gods adds new summons: Bia & Bayin, a mom-daughter duo, and Primordian Swarmlings, which are inspired by the Swarm game mode from League of Legends.

Traits & Origins

Space Gods introduces new traits and origins for players to try out:

  • Meeple: Meeple champions fight alongside their companion Meeps, who help out in battle. The more Meeple you have, the more Meeps you get. Meepsie, a two-cost tank, is a new TFT-exclusive champion.
  • Anima: This high-risk trait gives you tech for every loss and takedown. At 100 tech, you get a new Anima Weapon. You can use it right away or save up for a stronger one. Anima Weapons work on any champion but are best with Anima units.
  • Dark Star: These units can create Black Holes on the board that take out low-health enemies. With more Dark Star units, your strongest one becomes Supermassive and gets extra bonuses.
  • Stargazer: Each game, Stargazers get a different constellation that sets up a hex pattern to boost allies. As you level up, more hexes unlock. There are 7 constellations, each with its own effect. Lulu, one of the Stargazers, changes her spell based on the constellation.
  • Factory New: Graves, a 5-cost champion, gets a permanent upgrade every few rounds. You can choose to make him a tank or a damage dealer.
  • Mecha: Three units can transform into their ultimate forms. When transformed, they take up two team slots, get bonus stats and abilities, and add +1 to the trait.
  • Fateweaver: Fateweavers have a chance to crit with their abilities. The more you play, the higher the chance their abilities upgrade to a stronger version.

Gods

  • Some familiar TFT champions are now God-tier rulers. Here’s the lineup:
    • Soraka, God of Stars
    • Yasuo, God of the Abyss
    • Ahri, God of Opulence
    • Thresh, God of Pacts
    • Kayle, God of Order
    • Varus, God of Love
    • Evelynn, God of Temptation
    • Ekko, God of Time
    • Aurelion Sol, God of Wonders

Set Mechanic: Realm of the Gods

  • The Realm of the Gods mechanic is a new marketplace that replaces the usual TFT carousel this set.
  • At the start of each game, two gods are picked at random. They show up in the Realm of the Gods and offer rewards.
  • During each stage, players return to the realm and pick between the two gods’ offerings. If you choose the same god’s offering at least twice in stages 2, 3, and 4, you’ll get a special bonus from that god in stages 4-7.

Augments

  • Space Gods adds around 40 new Augments, including 8 Hero Augments that give champions new abilities. One of them lets you play as Zed, a 5-cost champion who can clone himself infinitely.

    • Chibi Battle Bat Xayah

Space Gods intertwines the sci-fi and fantasy genres, and marks TFT’s closest collaboration yet between our Art, Design, and UX teams,” said Noemi Coute, Set Design Lead. “We really loved our third set, Galaxies, and we were thrilled to revisit that thematic space with everything we’ve learned over the years. With the Realm of the Gods mechanic replacing the carousel for the first time in TFT’s history, we’re offering players an opportunity to see our Gods in all their glory. It’s a novel experience that combines vibrant illustrations with dynamic gameplay,” Coute added.
